Practical information

Practical information — Recto VRso

Recto VRso takes place at Le Quarante, 40 rue du Britais, in Laval, from Thursday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free and open to everyone, including families.

An exhibition born alongside Laval Virtual

Recto VRso complements the Laval Virtual trade show—the premier Mayenne event for virtual reality—by shifting the focus from software industry applications to artistic creation. Each year, the selected works examine virtual and mixed reality as mediums, exploring how these technologies transform the way we see, hear, and interact with art.

The 2025 edition: four days, forty works

The 2025 edition, titled "Pop Chaos!", took place from April 10 to 13 at Le Quarante. The Art & VR gallery featured ten works by international artists, complemented by projects from digital design schools and universities throughout the building. The previous edition brought together forty works, seventy-five artists, and two thousand visitors over four days.

The 9th edition, in November 2026

For 2026, Recto VRso moves from its usual spring slot to November 19–22, remaining at Le Quarante. The organizers have launched an open call for works, inviting artists, researchers, students, and virtual reality explorers to submit their projects for this 9th edition.
