L'Impro est dans le Pré: Theatrical Improvisation in the Countryside

Every autumn, TILA (Troupe d'Improvisation de Laval) takes over the Espace du Maine in L'Huisserie for its annual theatrical improvisation festival: L'Impro est dans le Pré. This event has become a must for improvisation enthusiasts, offering a weekend of live performances, laughter, and collective creativity.

Various Improvisation Formats

The festival offers several formats of improvisation shows:

• Four-Team Impro Catch: a spectacular format where four troupes compete in an improvisation tournament
• Improvisation Matches: the classic format with two teams, voted on by the audience
• Improvised Play: a complete theatrical creation born from real-time improvisation
• Dessine-moi une impro: a participatory show where actors improvise based on drawings made by the audience, children and adults, just before the show

Discovery Workshops

Beyond the shows, the festival offers improvisation discovery workshops open to all audiences, beginners and experienced alike. These workshops allow participants to learn improvisation techniques in a supportive and fun atmosphere.

TILA, a Dynamic Laval Troupe

TILA (Troupe d'Improvisation de Laval), also known as OANI (Organisation Artistique Non Identifiée), is a theatrical improvisation troupe based in Laval. Active year-round with regular training and performances, the troupe created this festival to share its passion for improvisation with the Mayenne public in a festive and friendly setting.

A Family-Friendly and Accessible Festival

L'Impro est dans le Pré is an event accessible for ages 5 and up, designed to be enjoyed by families and theater lovers alike. Prices are intentionally kept moderate to allow as many people as possible to discover theatrical improvisation.
