About Marmaille
Festival Marmaille is a youth-oriented event hosted by the Lillico association in Rennes and the Ille-et-Vilaine region every October. The festival features theater, dance, music, circus, and animated film performances for children as young as 18 months and their families, held at around twenty partner venues across the Rennes metropolitan area and the department.
Marmaille — edition 2026
The 34th edition of the Festival Marmaille takes place from October 14th to 20th, 2026, in Rennes, the Rennes metropolitan area, and Ille-et-Vilaine, organized by the Lillico association. Twenty theater, dance, music, circus, and animated film performances, spread across 19 partner venues, kick off the week with "Santa Park" by Compagnie Get Out and "À l'ombre des grands arbres" by Cie illimitée, for audiences as young as 18 months.
Festival Marmaille — 2026 Edition
The Festival Marmaille runs from Wednesday, October 14th, to Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, with its main hub at Lillico, Salle Guy Ropartz in Rennes, and around twenty partner venues throughout the Rennes metropolitan area and the Ille-et-Vilaine department (Vitré, Bruz, Vern-sur-Seiche, Guipry-Messac, Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, Laillé, Dol-de-Bretagne, Baulon, Montfort-sur-Meu, Chartres-de-Bretagne, Hédé-Bazouges, Saint-Gilles, Pacé, Thorigné-Fouillard).
Twenty creations and performances for children and youth are on the program, featuring mostly Breton companies, ranging from object theater to contemporary dance, as well as circus and cine-concerts. The nomadic club "Bonkers Kidsrave," exclusively for children, will travel to several sites throughout the week.
