About Arsonora
Arsonora is an early music festival created by the Fête des Remparts de Dinan association, which has been organizing the city's major medieval festival since 1983. Over two weeks in mid-October, it offers concerts and musical tours featuring a repertoire ranging from the Middle Ages to the 18th century, held in historic sites across Dinan and its surrounding area, including chapels, the castle, the theater, and local community halls.
Arsonora — edition 2026
For its inaugural edition, the festival presents four events between October 16 and October 30, 2026: a concert by the ensemble Irini exploring the miracles of the Virgin, a musical tour of the château du Guildo featuring the medieval harp, a Renaissance ball led by the ensemble Into the Winds, and a baritone-piano recital that bridges medieval poetry with music from the 19th and 20th centuries.

- 8:00 PM — Invictae, ensemble Irini (directed by Lila Hajosi), staged by Faustine Aziyadé · Chapelle des Cordeliers. An all-female program featuring six singers performing music spanning six centuries, from the Llibre Vermell de Montserrat to the Cyprus manuscript. Tickets from €22.

- 3:30 PM — Musical tour of the château du Guildo, 'History Lovers' route, with Éva Fogelgesang (medieval and Celtic harps, voice, hurdy-gurdy, violin)

- 8:30 PM — Échos médiévaux, Marc Mauillon (baritone) and Anne Le Bozec (piano) · Théâtre des Jacobins. A recital exploring the echoes of medieval poetry in 19th and 20th-century classical music.
Tickets will be available at the tourist offices in Dinan, Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, Sables-d'Or-les-Pins, and Plévenon, or online via the association's website.
