Thematic parade, costumes and entertainment for the popular Yerres carnival
Every spring, the town of Yerres (91330) invites its residents and visitors to its carnival. A popular and family-friendly event, the Yerres carnival stands out with its tradition of an annual theme: each edition encourages participants to dress up around a specific color or theme, creating visual and festive cohesion in the parade.
The highlight of the Carnaval de Yerres is its parade, which winds through the town's streets starting at 2:30 PM. Participants dressed according to the year's theme form a colorful and festive procession, accompanied by music, brass bands, and entertainment. In 2025, the chosen theme was “All in Blue”, inviting young and old to wear their finest blue outfits.
The parade creates a good-natured and friendly atmosphere, bringing together families, local associations, schools, and neighborhood committees in a collective and creative spirit. Spectators lining the route cheer on the participants and get carried away by the festive mood.
One of the special features of the Carnaval de Yerres is the refreshments offered by local businesses. This tradition illustrates the involvement of the local economic fabric in the town's festive life and strengthens the bond between businesses and residents. It's an additional moment of conviviality that extends the celebration in a warm atmosphere.
