Mountain music festival in Chalmazel-Jeansagnière
Chalma'Fest is an open-air music festival organized by the Club des Jeunes de Chalmazel-Jeansagnière, in the enchanting setting of the Monts du Forez, in the heart of the Loire. Born in 2023 from the initiative of about fifteen young volunteers from the village, this biennial festival aims to prove that culture in rural areas can create connections and strengthen the attractiveness of a territory often far from major artists' tours. Located at La Madone, at an altitude of 1,100 meters on the road to Sauvain, Chalma'Fest offers an eclectic and festive program mixing folk rock, rap, pop, rock, and DJ sets, in a friendly and warm atmosphere. As an engaged eco-festival, it implements waste recycling, cigarette butt recovery for heating, and decorations made exclusively from second-hand objects. Camping is free on site, and an artisanal beer is brewed especially for the event in partnership with the La Canaille brewery. Supported by 150 volunteers, Chalma'Fest attracts a family and festive audience from all over the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
