Clermont-Ferrand Christmas Market: a month of magic on Place de Jaude

Each year, the Place de Jaude, the beating heart of Clermont-Ferrand, transforms into an enchanting Christmas village for a month, from late November to late December. The Clermont-Ferrand Christmas Market, organized by Centre France Événements in partnership with the City, has become an unmissable event for the year-end holidays in Auvergne.

Seventy-three chalets from artisans and creators

The market brings together seventy-three carefully selected chalets, offering a rich and varied selection:

• Local crafts: jewelry, pottery, candles, natural soaps, wooden objects, leather goods
• Creators: clothing, accessories, natural cosmetics, spices, and Christmas decorations
• Gastronomy: artisanal chocolates, Auvergne cheeses, sausages, mulled wine, crepes, truffade, and regional specialties
• Gift ideas: surprise, unique, and original gifts for the whole family

Each year, new exhibitors come to renew and diversify the offerings, ensuring the discovery of new items with every visit.

Activities for all ages

The Christmas Market offers a program of daily activities:

• Photos with Santa Claus: daily in his dedicated chalet
• Inauguration parade: a festive procession on the opening day
• Concerts and shows: musical entertainment throughout the market
• Ferris wheel: located at the foot of the large Christmas tree, it offers a panoramic view of illuminated Clermont-Ferrand
• Face painting for children and creative workshops
• Toy collection for the benefit of Secours Populaire

Place de Jaude, the heart of the festivities

The Place de Jaude is the largest square in Clermont-Ferrand, dominated by the equestrian statue of Vercingetorix. It provides a majestic setting for the Christmas market, between the black stone cathedral and the illuminated facades of the city center. The large Christmas tree stands in the center of the square, creating a magical atmosphere.

A major event in Auvergne

With around four hundred and fifty thousand visitors each year, the Clermont-Ferrand Christmas Market is one of the most popular events in the region. The Friday and Saturday late-night openings, with extended hours until 10 PM, offer a particularly warm and illuminated ambiance.
