The Magic of Christmas in the heart of Ambert in Livradois-Forez
Every December, Place Charles de Gaulle in Ambert is adorned with lights and decorations to host the Christmas Market, a highlight of the "Magic of Christmas" events organized by the City of Ambert. This festive gathering has become an unmissable event in the local life of this sub-prefecture of Puy-de-Dôme, nestled in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park.

The market weekend is punctuated by numerous animations and parades that wind through the streets of Ambert:
Ambert is a town of character located 75 km east of Clermont-Ferrand, in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park. Famous for its Fourme d'Ambert, a world-renowned AOP cheese, and for its Richard de Bas mill, one of the last artisanal paper mills still in operation in France, Ambert combines historical heritage, artisanal know-how, and a preserved natural setting.
The Ambert Christmas Market returns in December 2026 on Place Charles de Gaulle. The program will be announced in the fall of 2026.
