Coin Foir'Eux en Fête: Solidarity in Music in Maillezais

Since 2013, Coin Foir'Eux en Fête has enlivened the village of Maillezais, in the heart of the Vendée Marais poitevin, with an original and generous concept: combining festive concerts and motorized rides to support a charitable cause. Driven by the Association Coinfoir'eux, this solidarity festival donates all its profits to the association “Un Hôpital pour les Enfants”, based at the Poitiers University Hospital.

A Festive Day of Music and Mechanics

The day begins in the afternoon with rides on motorcycles, mopeds, and vintage vehicles through the picturesque roads of the Marais poitevin. Two routes are offered to enthusiasts of beautiful mechanics, providing a friendly ride in an exceptional natural setting. From 6:30 PM, it's time for music with three bands on stage that ignite the evening in a festive and uninhibited pop-rock spirit.

A Unique Setting at the Foot of the Abbey

The event takes place at the Espace Geoffroy d'Estissac, located at Rue de l'Église in Maillezais, a stone's throw from the majestic medieval abbey. This open-air venue offers an ideal rural setting to enjoy concerts under the stars. Food and drinks are available on site throughout the day.

A Festival That Grows Year After Year

Over the years, Coin Foir'Eux has built a loyal and growing audience. Various bands have performed on its stage, from Scratchophone Orchestra to Super Soul Brothers, including Ladies Ballbreaker, Celkilt, and Les Kangourous. Admission remains affordable and free for children under 14, with a constant focus on accessibility. This small, up-and-coming festival has become a must-attend event of the Vendée summer, proving that you can party while doing good.
