Défou'Loire Festival

An eclectic, intergenerational festival in the heart of the Roannais

Founded in 2022 by the Brise-Rhins association, the Défou'Loire Festival has quickly established itself as a festive highlight in the Loire's musical landscape. Located at Le Treuil in Saint-Victor-sur-Rhins, halfway between Roanne and Lyon, the festival offers a rural and friendly setting for a late-summer weekend dedicated to musical variety and community spirit.

An eclectic lineup

The Défou'Loire Festival stands out for the diversity of its programming. Each edition offers a musical journey ranging from French chanson to reggae dub, as well as rock, punk, Latin music, Balkan sounds, and even drum and bass electro.

Over the years, the festival has hosted artists such as Charlie P, Big Red, O.B.F., Les Sales Majestés, Tomawok, Stand High Patrol, The Dynamics, Flying Orkestar, and the Red Rockers Sound System, alongside many local and emerging artists from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes scene.

A family-friendly and participatory festival

True to its intergenerational spirit, the Défou'Loire Festival makes room for young audiences: the lineup includes artists who bring generations together through music and lyrics.

A site in the heart of nature

The Le Treuil area provides a natural setting for the festival. Located about an hour from Lyon and Saint-Étienne, and a 20-minute walk from the Saint-Victor-Thizy train station (on the Lyon-Roanne TER line), the site is easily accessible while offering a complete change of scenery. A camping area is available for festival-goers to stay on-site.
