About Musival
Every September, Musival brings a series of concerts to the Val lamartinien, nestled between Mâcon and Cluny in the Saône-et-Loire region. Established in 2019, the festival spans six different municipalities—Berzé-la-Ville, Bussières, Chevagny-les-Chevrières, La Roche-Vineuse, Milly-Lamartine, and Sologny—showcasing local heritage sites including historic churches, a château, and the birthplace of Alphonse de Lamartine.
The program features a blend of classical music, jazz, and chanson, often paired with theater or dance, while reimagining repertoire classics with unique instrumentation. Renowned international artists have graced the stage, such as soprano Maria Bayo, accordionist Richard Galliano, and actor Robin Renucci.
Musival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Musival takes place from September 6th to 13th across six villages in the Val lamartinien. Pianist Christian Zacharias will perform at the Saint-Sorlin church in La Roche-Vineuse, and a family-friendly concert-screening featuring the music from Hayao Miyazaki's films will be held in Bussières, starring violinist Christophe Collette and pianist Thierry Ravassard.
