Dragey-Ronthon — Manche (50) Since 2021

About Dune Fanfare

Dune Fanfare à l'Autre is a festival of brass bands and ambulatory concerts organized every summer in Dragey-Ronthon and neighboring towns in the Mont-Saint-Michel bay. Born in 2021 from the association Dune Music à l'Autre, the festival offers itinerant concerts for all audiences in the streets and on the paths of the towns of Dragey-Ronthon, Carolles, Sartilly, and Champeaux, facing Mont-Saint-Michel. A marquee set up at the Dragey equestrian center hosts the evening concerts, mixing brass bands, world music, and a festive outdoor atmosphere.

Dune Fanfare à l'Autre: When Music Parades Facing Mont-Saint-Michel

Born in 2021 from the desire of the association Dune Music à l'Autre to bring music to life in an exceptional natural setting, the Dune Fanfare à l'Autre festival offers a unique musical experience in the heart of the Mont-Saint-Michel bay. The concept is simple and joyful: brass bands and musical ensembles parade through the streets and along the paths of the towns of Dragey-Ronthon, Carolles, Sartilly, and Champeaux, offering open-air itinerant concerts.

Concerts on the Move

The festival is based on the principle of musical parades. Brass bands move from town to town, taking over squares, country paths, and viewpoints overlooking the bay. Spectators follow the musicians as they wish, creating a participatory and immersive experience where nature and music merge for a complete sensory experience.

A Marquee at the Equestrian Center

In the evening, a marquee set up at the Dragey equestrian center takes over to host evening concerts. The atmosphere becomes more festive, with various musical groups ranging from traditional brass bands to world music groups, including jazz and contemporary music. The program is designed for all audiences, with entertainment and shows suitable for families.

A Festival Rooted in its Territory

Facing Mont-Saint-Michel, the festival takes advantage of an exceptional landscape. The partner towns offer a diversity of settings—dunes, hedgerows, charming villages—that enrich the musical experience and invite exploration of the natural and architectural heritage of this part of the Manche coast.
