The meeting place for gamers of all generations in Alsace
Organized by the association Original Event, the Fegersheim Video Game Festival brings together video game enthusiasts every year on over 1,500 m² at the Centre Culturel et Sportif. From retro gaming to the latest consoles, virtual reality, competitive tournaments, and board games, this three-day event celebrates video game culture in all its forms. Cosplay is increasingly important, with the participation of the association Passion Cosplay.
Since its creation, the Fegersheim Video Game Festival has established itself as one of the major video game events in the Bas-Rhin region. Supported by the association Original Event, this festival offers a journey through the history of video games each year, from the first 8-bit consoles to the latest generation machines, including PC gaming and virtual reality.
The Fegersheim Cultural and Sports Center is transformed into a vast playground for three days. Visitors move between the different themed areas: a retro gaming space for those nostalgic for the early days, a section dedicated to current consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch), a PC gaming area with high-performance setups, and no less than 10 virtual reality headsets for unique immersive experiences.
Tournaments are one of the highlights of the festival. Open to all skill levels, they allow players to compete in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. Some competitions are broadcast live on Twitch, adding a spectacular dimension to the event and allowing remote viewers to follow the action in real time.
The festival is not limited to screens. A board game area welcomes visitors with volunteers ready to explain the latest news from the gaming world. The cosplay dimension is growing thanks to the partnership with the association Passion Cosplay, which organizes parades and meet-and-greets with talented cosplayers.
The association Achencraft also brings its creative touch with surprise presentations combining crafts and geek universes. On-site catering allows visitors to spend the entire day immersed in the festival's world.
With its affordable prices and family pass, the Fegersheim Video Game Festival focuses on accessibility. It caters to both seasoned gamers and the curious who wish to discover the richness of video game culture, in a relaxed atmosphere open to all generations.
The 19th edition of the Fegersheim Video Game Festival will be held from April 3 to 5, 2026, at the Centre Culturel et Sportif. On the program: consoles and PCs with a selection of games, tournaments open to all skill levels, board games with volunteers to introduce new releases, and a special focus on cosplay with the association Passion Cosplay.
