A Music Festival on the Banks of the Rhône (1999-2011)

Fest'Route was a popular music festival that took place every year in June-July in Tournon-sur-Rhône, a historic town in northern Ardèche. Located on Quai Farconnet, in the heart of the town and on the banks of the Rhône, the festival offered an exceptional setting for open-air concert evenings, facing the river and the Hermitage vineyard.

Musical Eclecticism and Discovery

Fest'Route's program was distinguished by its musical eclecticism. The festival brought together international, national, and local artists, across various genres: rock, French chanson, world music, reggae, funk, ska, and many other styles. This diversity was the festival's hallmark since its creation in 1999.

Thirteen Editions of Music in Tournon (1999-2011)

Created in 1999, Fest'Route saw 13 editions until 2011. Among the artists who graced the stage of Quai Farconnet were: Tryo, Thomas Dutronc, Mickey 3D, Emir Kusturica, Manu Dibango, Bunny Wailer, Izia, Le Peuple de l'Herbe, Naïve New Beaters, and Lo'Jo. The festival attracted around 7,000 people in 2005 and had established itself as an unmissable event of the Ardèche summer season.

Tournon-sur-Rhône, a Cultural Gem in the Rhône Valley

Tournon-sur-Rhône is a city rich in history and heritage, with its medieval castle, its collégiale Saint-Julien, and its quays facing Tain-l'Hermitage. The festival took advantage of this remarkable setting to offer musical evenings in a unique atmosphere, between old stones and reflections of the Rhône.
