The young audience festival of the Pays d'Othe, between shows and workshops for 3-14 year olds
Since its first edition in 2006, Festi'Coccinelle has established itself as the unmissable event for young audiences in the Othe-Armance region. For two days in July, the Jardin de l'Octroi in Saint-Florentin transforms into a giant playground to welcome children aged 3 to 14 and their families for an artistic, cultural, and fun adventure renewed each year around a new theme.
The festival is a creation of the Association Culturelle Othe-Armance, organizer of the Othe-Armance Festival, in partnership with the Ligue de l'Enseignement de l'Yonne and with the support of the municipality of Saint-Florentin. It constitutes the young audience component of the major traveling festival that tours the villages of Aube and Yonne each summer.
Nestled between the two branches of the Armance river in the heart of Saint-Florentin, the Jardin de l'Octroi offers an ideal green setting to host the festival. Its Théâtre de Verdure, the main stage of Festi'Coccinelle, hosts major shows in a natural amphitheater. Two additional stages are set up for the occasion—the Scène Champignon and the Scène de l'Octroi—to multiply the activity areas and facilitate the movement of children.
On this enchanting site, over twenty socio-educational and fun workshops come to life simultaneously, supervised by professional animators and passionate volunteers. Children can move freely from one workshop to another, stopping for an introduction, a creative session, or a discovery, at their own pace.
The strength of Festi'Coccinelle lies in the diversity and richness of its programming. Each edition offers a skillfully balanced mix of:
One of Festi'Coccinelle's great successes is its ability to reinvent itself each year around a compelling theme. Over the editions, children have been taken on a world tour in a day, dived into the underwater world to discover its fauna, flora, and environmental challenges, donned the costumes of great Olympic athletes, and stepped into the shoes of filmmakers, sound designers, or stunt performers… These themes allow for a fun and sensitive exploration of various subjects: cultural diversity, environment, sports, arts, and citizenship.
The 19th edition in 2025 immersed festival-goers in the world of the sea, exploring its myths and legends, its biodiversity, and its ecological challenges. The 20th edition in 2026 revisited the founding theme of a « world tour in a day », inviting children to travel from one continent to another through workshops and shows.
Festi'Coccinelle is designed to be a complete family experience. Parents and accompanying adults are not just spectators: for €5, they have full access to all activities and can share their children's discoveries. The site also offers a catering area and picnic facilities, as well as a changing area for the little ones.
The festival has been sold out for several years, attracting over 2,000 children over the two days. Its reputation extends far beyond the Pays d'Othe, drawing families from all over Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Île-de-France, and neighboring regions. Tickets, available in advance at the Office de Tourisme Serein et Armance and online, usually sell out quickly.
In 2026, Festi'Coccinelle celebrates its twentieth anniversary, a longevity that testifies to the deep attachment of local families to this event. Born as a simple young audience segment of a contemporary music festival, it has become a festival in its own right, recognized and eagerly awaited each year by thousands of children and their parents. Its strength: a cohesive team, loyal partners, quality programming, and the incomparable magic of a riverside garden transformed for a summer into a kingdom for children.
The 20th edition of Festi'Coccinelle takes place on Tuesday, July 21st and Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026 at the Jardin de l'Octroi in Saint-Florentin (89), from 10 am to 5:30 pm. For this anniversary, the Othe-Armance Festival's youth festival highlights Brazil: samba, bossa-nova, capoeira, carnival, and Amazonian environmental challenges guide children aged 3 to 12 and their families through fun and educational shows and workshops.
For its twentieth anniversary, Festi'Coccinelle celebrates the exceptional cultural diversity of Brazil. On July 21st and 22nd, 2026, the Jardin de l'Octroi in Saint-Florentin transforms into a festive village where music, dance, sport, nature, and environment are explored through a Brazilian theme.
Throughout the two days (10 am-5:30 pm), children aged 3 to 12 can wander between about thirty socio-cultural workshops led by volunteers and facilitators from the Ligue de l'Enseignement de l'Yonne, and enjoy professional shows scheduled on the site's various stages: storytelling, theatre, music, dance, and circus punctuate the festival-goers' explorations.
The full program, prices, and ticketing information are published on festivalenothe.net and the festival's Facebook page. It is advisable to book in advance, as tickets sell out quickly.
