Nearly thirty years of artistic awakening for the youngest

Since 1997, the MJC d'Annemasse has organized FestiMôm' during the autumn school holidays, offering children and their families a key cultural moment in the heart of autumn. Born from the desire to provide quality cultural offerings for young audiences during the Toussaint holidays, the festival has become, over nearly three decades, an essential event for families in Annemasse and its surrounding area.

True to the values of popular education that the MJC champions and develops, FestiMôm' places awakening, curiosity, discovery, and enjoyment at the heart of its approach, offering artistic experiences accessible from the youngest age.

Shows, workshops, cinema, and games

FestiMôm's program is remarkably rich for a young audience festival. Each edition involves about ten companies for around twenty performances, complemented by nearly 150 creative workshops, film screenings (about sixty sessions), and play and socialization areas. The 2025 edition thus offers 10 companies, 20 shows, 150 workshops, and 8 films in 60 sessions.

The artistic offerings cover a wide range of disciplines: theater, puppetry, storytelling, circus, dance, music, and are aimed at specific age groups, from very young children from 10 months old up to 12 years old. This segmentation allows each child to find shows adapted to their age and sensitivity.

The MJC at the heart of the project

FestiMôm' is more than just a festival: it is the expression of the values upheld by the MJC d'Annemasse throughout the year. The event mobilizes the MJC's teams, volunteers, and cultural partners in the region, including Château Rouge, a designated stage in Annemasse, which co-programs some shows.

The opening and closing of the festival take place outdoors on the Place du Jumelage in Perrier on Saturday afternoons, creating festive and convivial moments that bring together families from the neighborhood and the entire agglomeration.

FestiMôm' is driven by a spirit of discovery, awakening, curiosity, the desire for new experiences, openness to the world, joy, and above all, pleasure. The festival favors original and demanding artistic forms, refusing the easy way out in favor of proposals that stimulate children's imagination and enrich their view of the world.
