Music, crafts, and conviviality in the fields of Tanus
The Festival Atôme Crouzié is a rural festival that combines concerts, shows, and initiation to traditional crafts, organized every year in May at the place called la Crouzié in Tanus, in the north of Tarn. Supported by the association Debout les Yeux, this unique event offers blues, rock, rhythm and blues, punk-rock, world music, and salsa concerts in the evenings, while the days are dedicated to free workshops in blacksmithing, woodturning, basketry, pottery, and other artisanal know-how. A plant market, circus, shows for young audiences, and local catering complete a festive program rooted in the values of sharing and doing together.
At the place called la Crouzié, on the heights of Tanus, a small village in the north of Tarn perched between the Viaur and Cérou valleys, the Festival Atôme Crouzié has been offering a unique festival experience since the early 2020s. Here, concerts are only part of the story: the festival celebrates music as much as traditional crafts, in a spirit of transmission and rural conviviality.
The festival evenings are dedicated to live music, with a program that is not afraid of stylistic diversity. From blues to punk-rock, from rhythm and blues to salsa, including country, Brazilian music, and pop rock, each edition holds surprises and discoveries. Among the artists who have graced the stage of La Crouzié are La Bédoune, Whiskey Paradis, SLIP, La 45, Loup Malevil, Fusa, The Eeps, FREDD, Cazelle Café, and The Twin Souls.
What truly sets Atôme Crouzié apart from other festivals is its program of craft workshops offered during the day, free and open to all. Passionate artisans introduce young and old to the ancestral gestures of blacksmithing, woodturning, basketry, pottery, leatherwork, and many other traditional crafts. These living demonstrations, far from being mere shows, invite everyone to get their hands dirty and rediscover the value of making.
Sunday is particularly dedicated to families, with a plant market, circus introductions, martial arts workshops, shows for young audiences, and recycling awareness activities. Camping is available on site, and the catering highlights local Tarn products. The association Debout les Yeux animates this place year-round with a community bar and regular cultural events.
