About Ségala Music Tour

The Ségala Music Tour is a traveling festival organized by Pollux Asso that brings its mobile stage to the rural villages of Ségala Tarnais from April to September. Rock, folk, rockabilly, Cuban music, and choral singing follow one another in isolated communes like Vers, Jouqueviel, Moularès, and Saint-Christophe. Completely free entry, bar and food available on site. A warm event for everyone.

The itinerant open-air café of Ségala Tarnais

The Ségala Music Tour is a unique musical adventure in the Tarn: a festival that refuses to stay put. Conceived and organised by the association Pollux Asso in partnership with X Fest Organisation and with the support of the 3CS (Communauté de Communes du Ségala Carmausin et Saint-Juéryois), this itinerant musical tour takes its mobile stage — L'Estafette — and its audience to the heart of the rural villages of Ségala Tarnais, these territories of hills and hedgerows sometimes neglected by cultural offerings.

Several villages, several concerts, the same enthusiasm

Each edition of the Ségala Music Tour takes place on several dates spread from May to September, in different villages of Ségala. The formula is always the same: concerts starting from 7 PM, on-site bar and catering, completely free entry, and a carefully chosen program to mix established artists and emerging acts. In case of bad weather, concerts are moved indoors.

An audacious program in rural villages

What makes the Ségala Music Tour particularly valuable is its commitment to bringing culture to the most remote villages of the department. Mirandol-Bourgnounac, Labastide-Gabausse, Valdériès, Carmaux, Taïx, Vers, Jouqueviel, Moularès, Saint-Christophe: these rural communes in the north of the Tarn do not always benefit from the attention of cultural programmers. Pollux Asso's tour remedies this by bringing a moment of popular and family celebration each summer, where residents meet their neighbours from surrounding hamlets around a stage set up in the village square or in a field.

The diversity of musical genres offered — rock, folk, rockabilly, cumbia, world music, Cuban music, French chanson, choral singing — reflects the desire to open these evenings to all audiences, from children to seniors, without hierarchy or musical dogmatism. Each concert is an invitation to discovery, a meeting between artists often little known outside their circles and a receptive and curious audience.

Pollux Asso: an association serving the territory

A 1901 law association founded in 2000 and based in Albi (6 rue Jules Rolland), Pollux Asso is committed to promoting contemporary music and the cultural development of rural areas. Its action in favour of emerging artists in the region, coupled with its fieldwork in the communes, makes it a key player in the cultural life of Ségala. The Ségala Music Tour is its flagship project, the one that best embodies its philosophy: music everywhere, for everyone, regardless of resources or place of residence.

A warm moment with friends and family

Beyond the music, the Ségala Music Tour is a moment of conviviality that the inhabitants of Ségala look forward to every summer. An on-site bar and catering create the conditions for a truly festive evening, where people eat, drink, dance, and chat under the stars. Free entry removes all barriers and allows everyone to come without constraint. These evenings, which bring together village residents and passing visitors, contribute to rural social cohesion and the attractiveness of the communes of Ségala Tarnais.

Ségala Music Tour — edition 2026

2026 edition of the Ségala Music Tour: six stages of free itinerant concerts in the villages of Ségala Tarnais, from May 9 to September 12, 2026. Organized by Pollux Asso and X Fest Organisation around their mobile guinguette stage L'Estafette, with the support of the 3CS.

Ségala Music Tour 2026: "A Summer of Music in Ségala Tarnais"

For its 2026 edition, the Ségala Music Tour hits the road again from May 9 to September 12 with six stages in the villages of Carmausin-Ségala. Pollux Asso and X Fest Organisation, accompanied by the 3CS, are reinstalling L'Estafette — their itinerant guinguette stage — for an entire season of free open-air concerts (with indoor fallback in case of capricious weather).

The Kick-off: Heading for Summer on May 9

The season opens on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Cap Découverte (Le Garric) with a big launch party "Cap sur l'été" (Heading for Summer): daytime activities followed by free concerts from 7 PM until 0:30 AM, featuring Sofaz (world / maloya / electro), Macadam Farmer (rural groove rock), and Original Rockers (sound system). The evening takes place at the Skatepark Hall.

The Village Tour

L'Estafette then sets off to crisscross five Ségala villages, with two concerts at each stop starting at 7 PM, bar and catering on site, free admission:

  • May 16 — Mirandol-Bourgnounac: Ring Of Cash (Johnny Cash tribute) + Muzik Addicted (local rock school).
  • July 4 — Labastide-Gabausse: Los Guayabo Brothers (cumbia, Latin music) + Woda (world music).
  • July 18 — Valdériès: Louie & The Hurricanes (50's rock) + Naked Nudes (rock).
  • July 22 — Carmaux: program to be confirmed on the Pollux Asso website.
  • September 12 — Taïx: The SuperSoul Brothers (soul) + The Water Gun Project (pop rock). Last stop for L'Estafette before the Ségala Music Tour returns in 2027.

A format always true to the spirit of the tour

Concerts from 7 PM, entirely free admission, bar and catering on site, open-air stage in the village (indoor fallbacks planned): the formula that has made the tour successful in recent years is renewed, in the same spirit of popular, family-friendly, and convivial celebration. An eclectic program — from 50's rock to sound system, cumbia, soul, or chanson — to bring all generations together around L'Estafette.
