The traveling 'guinguette' of Ségala Tarnais

The Ségala Music Tour is a unique musical adventure in the Tarn: a festival that refuses to stay in one place. Conceived and led by the association Pollux Asso in partnership with X Fest Organisation and with the support of 3CS (Communauté de Communes du Ségala Carmausin et Saint-Juéryois), this traveling musical tour brings its stage and its audience to the heart of the rural villages of Ségala Tarnais, these hilly and hedged territories gradually neglected by cultural offerings.

Four villages, four concerts, the same fervor

Each edition of the Ségala Music Tour features four dates spread from May to September, in four different villages of Ségala. The formula is the same each time: concerts starting at 7 PM, bar and food on site, completely free entry, and a carefully chosen program to mix established artists and emerging bands.

In 2025, the tour stopped in:

  • Vers (May 10): Billy Hornett, a rock band inspired by the 1950s, and Voodoo Jam, rock for all generations
  • Jouqueviel (June 27): Macadam Farmer, folk rock with rural accents, and Muzik Addicted, a band from the local music academy
  • Moularès (July 19): Louie & The Hurricanes, electric rockabilly, and Pierre Antoine, intimate French chanson
  • Saint-Christophe (September 6): LaSmala Banda, lively Cuban music, and Vox Lab Studio, a vibrant rock choir

An audacious program in isolated villages

What makes the Ségala Music Tour particularly valuable is its commitment to bringing culture to the most remote villages in the department. Vers, Jouqueviel, Moularès, Saint-Christophe: these rural communes in the north of the Tarn do not always receive the attention of cultural programmers. Pollux Asso's tour remedies this by bringing a moment of popular and family celebration each summer, where residents reconnect with their neighbors from surrounding hamlets around a stage set up in the village square or in a field.

The diversity of musical genres offered — rock, folk, rockabilly, Cuban music, French chanson, choral singing — reflects the desire to open these evenings to all audiences, from children to elders, without musical hierarchy or dogmatism. Each concert is an invitation to discovery, an encounter between artists often little known outside their circles and a receptive and curious audience.

Pollux Asso: an association serving the territory

Pollux Asso is a Tarn-based association committed to promoting contemporary music and the cultural development of rural areas. Its action in favor of emerging artists from the region, coupled with its field work in the communes, makes it a key player in the cultural life of Ségala. The Ségala Music Tour is its flagship project, the one that best embodies its philosophy: music everywhere, for everyone, without conditions of income or residence.

A warm moment with friends and family

Beyond the music, the Ségala Music Tour is a moment of conviviality that the inhabitants of Ségala look forward to each summer. The on-site bar and catering create the conditions for a true festive evening, where people eat, drink, dance, and chat under the stars. The free entry removes all barriers and allows everyone to come without constraint. These evenings, which bring together village residents and passing visitors, contribute to rural social cohesion and the attractiveness of the communes in Ségala Tarnais.

2026 edition of Ségala Music Tour: new tour of free traveling concerts in the villages of Ségala Tarnais. Four stops from May to September, organized by Pollux Asso.

Ségala Music Tour 2026: The Tour Continues

Building on the success of its previous editions, the Ségala Music Tour is back on the road in 2026 for a new free musical tour in the villages of Ségala Tarnais. The association Pollux Asso and its partners are continuing the principle that has made the tour successful: four stops in four rural villages, from May to September, with concerts starting at 7 PM, bar, food, and free entry.

The 2026 program, which will be announced in the spring on the Pollux Asso website and social media, will continue to mix rock, folk, world music, and other musical genres in the eclectic and festive spirit of the tour. New villages may join the circuit, continuing the festival's mission to bring live music to the most isolated communes of Ségala.

Residents of the Ségala villages can already anticipate these summer evenings that punctuate their summer and bring together all generations around an outdoor stage. An unmissable event on the Tarn rural cultural calendar.
