Festival of contemporary music in Louverné
The Festival Boris le Singe is a contemporary music festival organized every year in June in Louverné, near Laval in Mayenne. Created by the association Boris le Singe — originally formed to participate in the solidarity rally 4L Trophy —, the festival offers two days of eclectic concerts mixing hip-hop, electro, rock, soul, and pop at Clos Joli. With a bold program and a friendly atmosphere, the festival attracts a young and family audience. Food trucks and a bar complete the festival offerings.
The story of the Boris le Singe festival is as original as its name. The Boris le Singe association was founded a few years ago by a group of friends from Louverné, initially to raise funds to participate in the 4L Trophy, a famous student solidarity rally. Boris was originally a teddy bear that the friends took photos of during their adventures, becoming the mascot of their car and then of the entire association. From this solidarity adventure, a music festival was born in Louverné.
The festival takes place over two days at Clos Joli (or Bois Joli) in Louverné, with an eclectic program mixing hip-hop, electro, rock, soul, and pop. On Friday evening from 6 PM and Saturday from noon, artists take turns on stage to offer a rich and varied musical experience. The 4th edition in 2025 hosted about ten artists including Antes & Madzes, La Rif Et Nos Men, Ogustine, Lomeh, Band Of Brothers, and several DJ sets.
After a first confidential edition that attracted 400 people through word-of-mouth on social media alone, the festival has grown rapidly. The goal for the 4th edition was to reach 1,000 attendees, a sign of the growing public enthusiasm for this human-sized event.
The Boris le Singe festival focuses on a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The Clos Joli site, outdoors, offers a green setting conducive to relaxation. Food trucks and a bar allow festival-goers to eat on-site. Parking is free, and the site's layout allows for smooth circulation between areas.
The 5th edition of the Festival Boris le Singe is scheduled for June 26 and 27, 2026, at Clos Joli in Louverné. The festival will offer two days of contemporary music concerts in a friendly atmosphere.
