A festival rooted in northern Mayenne
Created in 2010 by the association Les Amis d'AL Foncent, a collective of passionate volunteers from Gorron and its surroundings, Festid'Al was born from the desire to liven up cultural life in rural areas. Located at the Espace Colmont, in the Besnadières business park in Gorron, the festival has grown year after year to become one of the flagship events of the summer in Mayenne. In 2024, the 15th edition set a new attendance record, confirming the growing public enthusiasm for this summer gathering.
An eclectic and accessible program
Festid'Al stands out for its rich and varied musical program, designed to appeal to a wide audience. National headliners rub shoulders with emerging artists and local bands in genres ranging from pop to rock, including electro, hip-hop, and world music. In 2025, for its 16th edition themed around the funfair, the festival featured Boulevard des Airs as the headliner, alongside Éloïz, Sound of Legend, Flagrants Délires, Adrien Toma, Wepa Wepa, Badegna Foli, and many other artists. The concerts take place outdoors over two evenings, Friday and Saturday, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
A family area at the heart of the festival
Beyond the musical program, Festid'Al places great importance on the family dimension. The Famili'Al area offers activities for children and families throughout the weekend: creative workshops, face painting, wooden games, shows, and various entertainment. This attention to all audiences contributes to the festival's unique identity, which aims to be a moment of intergenerational sharing. Each edition is designed around an original theme that inspires the site's decoration, entertainment, and the overall atmosphere of the event.
A friendly and committed event
Festid'Al relies entirely on the energy of dozens of volunteers who work year-round to prepare the event. The festival offers free camping for ticket holders, on-site catering, and accessible parking. The fireworks display offered by the City of Gorron is a highlight of each edition. With deliberately affordable prices and free entry on Friday early evening, Festid'Al affirms its role as a popular festival, open to all, in the heart of the Mayenne countryside.
