Festival of contemporary music and festive entertainment in the heart of the Lot
The Cavagnac Festival is a contemporary music festival organized every summer by the association Les Mâles-Fêteurs in the village of Cavagnac, in the heart of the Lot. For three days in July, the festival offers eclectic concerts mixing rock, French chanson, and variety music, accompanied by family entertainment: craft market, pony rides, circus shows, falconry, and fireworks. A friendly and popular event that has been animating the village life since 2017.
The Cavagnac Festival was born from the desire of the association Les Mâles-Fêteurs to liven up the village of Cavagnac by offering leisure activities open to all. Since its first edition in 2017, this contemporary music festival has built a loyal family and intergenerational audience, attracted by an eclectic program and a warm, typically Lot atmosphere.
Each year in July, the Cavagnac Festival takes over the site of Reynal in Cavagnac for three days of festivities. The evenings are dedicated to live concerts with bands and artists covering a wide musical spectrum: rock, progressive rock, rock covers, French chanson, variety, and contemporary music. The festival has notably hosted artists such as Clément Verzi (The Voice finalist), Douchka, Olivier Villa, Me Again, Echo Cahors, Sulfur, So Shaft, Why Notes, La Petite Sophie, Swanglo, and La Deryve.
Beyond the music, the Cavagnac Festival stands out for its rich family entertainment. Saturday and Sunday afternoons offer a varied program:
A festival tradition, each edition is placed under the patronage of a personality who brings their touch to the event. Alex Champagnac was the patron of the 6th edition in 2024, while Clément Verzi sponsored the 2023 edition. This patronage system reflects the festival's integration into the local cultural fabric and its ability to attract renowned artists.
The Cavagnac Festival focuses on accessibility and friendliness. Prices remain moderate, with a three-evening pass at an advantageous price and free entry for children under 12. A refreshment stand and food stalls are available on-site throughout the festival. After a two-year break in 2020 and 2021 due to the health crisis, the festival returned in force in 2022 and has continued to grow, becoming a must-attend event of the Lot summer.
The Cavagnac Festival takes place at Reynal, 46110 Cavagnac, in the Lot department (Occitanie).
Tickets are available online on HelloAsso and on-site on the day of the festival. Individual evening ticket: approximately €15. 3-evening pass: approximately €30. Free for children under 12 years old.
A refreshment stand and food stalls are present on the site for the entire duration of the festival.
