Randonoix is a sporting event organized by the association Saillac Animation in the small Corrèze village of Saillac, the birthplace of the Marbot walnut. Its name evokes the meeting between hiking (or running) and the walnut, an emblematic product of the region.

10 km of the Walnut: A Popular Race

The highlight of the event is the 10 km foot race, called "10 km de la Noix" (10 km of the Walnut). This race, open to all runners, licensed or not, offers a varied course through the country roads and paths around Saillac. The start and finish are on the village square, creating a festive and friendly atmosphere.

Runners will experience a preserved natural setting, between walnut orchards, meadows, and small Corrèze hamlets. The meticulous organization, ensured by the volunteers of Saillac Animation, guarantees the safety and smooth running of the race.

Hiking for Everyone

For those who prefer a more relaxed approach, a hiking tour is also offered. Hikers can discover the landscapes of Corrèze at their own pace, with family or friends, while enjoying the fresh air and the beauty of the Saillac surroundings.

The route passes through walnut orchards, recalling the importance of walnut cultivation in the local history and economy. A walnut oil mill can be discovered along the circuit, a living testament to traditional know-how.

A Festive and Gourmet Atmosphere

Like all events organized in Saillac, Randonoix celebrates local products. After the effort, participants can enjoy refreshments and taste walnut-based specialties: walnut oil, cakes, walnut wine. Drinks are available on site.

The event creates a moment of sharing and conviviality between athletes, villagers, and visitors, in the spirit of Corrèze rural festivals.
