Été à Sédières — edition 2026

An Summer at Sédières returns from June 13th to September 30th, 2026, at the Château de Sédières in Clergoux, with a season entirely dedicated to Nature. Three unprecedented exhibitions (steel wire creatures by Kendra Haste, botanical paintings by Pierre-Luc Poujol, naturalist photographs by Égletons Photo Nature), free aperitif concerts on Monday evenings, shows for young audiences on Wednesdays, two flagship events (the Hervé Koubi Company on June 14th, Puccini's opera La Bohème by Diva Opera on August 9th as part of the Festival de la Vézère) and numerous free weekend activities punctuate this new summer season in Corrèze.

2026 Season: Nature in the spotlight at Château de Sédières

From June 13th to September 30th, 2026, the Château de Sédières in Clergoux opens its doors for its new summer cultural season. For this edition, Nature is highlighted through exhibitions, concerts, shows, and activities celebrating the richness and beauty of living things.

Three immersive exhibitions on nature

The château hosts three complementary artistic proposals around the theme of the forest and living things:

  • Kendra Haste — for the first time in France, the British artist installs her forest creatures sculpted from steel wire in the château's rooms.
  • Pierre-Luc Poujol — pictorial works on trees and plants, an immersive dive into a forest universe.
  • Égletons Photo Nature — photographs of local wildlife by Corrèze naturalist photographers, presented in the French garden and the concert hall (selection from the Défis 100% Corrèze).

Free Monday evening aperitif concerts

Throughout the summer, the department offers a series of free outdoor aperitif concerts, on Mondays at 7 PM, with an eclectic program mixing jazz, brass-band, pop-rock, local scene, disco, gypsy music, and Occitan songs. Light refreshments available on site with Origine Corrèze products (local charcuterie, pizzas, regional specialties). In case of rain, concerts will be moved to the performance hall.

Shows for young audiences on Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at 3 PM (with two additional sessions at 11 AM on July 22nd and 29th), the château offers shows for young audiences: circus, magic, storytelling, theater, dance, participatory shows, in a warm atmosphere.

Two flagship events

  • June 14th, 2026 — Dance with the Hervé Koubi Company, opening the season.
  • August 9th, 2026 — Puccini's opera La Bohème by Diva Opera, as part of the Festival de la Vézère.

Free weekend activities

On weekends, the estate comes alive with drawing competitions, thematic walks, giant games, sky observation sessions, musical siestas, and treasure hunts to discover the site with family.

An estate open to all

The château and park are open daily from 10 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 6 PM. Access to exhibitions and the vast majority of activities is free. The snack bar and bar welcome visitors continuously from 10 AM to 6 PM (until 6:30 PM on Saturdays in July-August), on the terrace or indoors, with a menu featuring Origine Corrèze products: plates, artisanal ice creams, local produce.
