The Festival des Quatre Saisons is an original comedy event that punctuates the cultural life of Montbéliard throughout the year. As its name suggests, the festival unfolds in four seasonal highlights — winter, spring, summer, and autumn — offering residents of Montbéliard and the surrounding region a regular and varied program of comedy shows.

A Unique Format in Four Acts

Each season features two to three evenings of performances, generally from Wednesday to Friday, in two emblematic venues in Montbéliard:

• Les Bains Douches la scène: An intimate 160-seat venue, ideal for stand-up and discovery shows
• Le Théâtre de Montbéliard: A large 380-seat theater for headliners and larger productions

An Eclectic Program

The festival mixes genres and styles of humor:

• Stand-up: New voices from the French comedy scene
• One man/woman show: Polished performances by established artists
• Humorous song: Quirky singer-songwriters
• Magic and mentalism: Acts combining humor and illusion
• Dark, absurd, or refined humor: All colors of humor are represented

Local and National Artists

The Festival des Quatre Saisons showcases local and regional artists from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, while also welcoming nationally renowned artists and French-speaking comedians from neighboring countries. Among the artists who have graced the festival's stages are Régis Mailhot, Lucie Carbone, Karim Mendil, Christian Legal, Coralie Mori, Aude Alisque, and Manon Lepomme.

The Festival des Quatre Saisons is organized by the City of Montbéliard as part of its ambitious cultural policy. It is part of a rich festival ecosystem that also includes the Festival des Mômes, Eurocuivres, the Estivales du Près-la-Rose, and the Lumières de Noël.
