The festival that resurrects the hits of the 90s and 2000s
The Do You Remember Festival is a major musical event dedicated to the hits of the 1990s and 2000s, organized every summer in the Val-d'Oise. Born in Taverny at the Théâtre Madeleine-Renaud, it brings together over three days about forty national and international artists — hip-hop, R&B, pop, zouk, reggae, dancehall — who marked the 25-45 year old generation. With its two stages, impressive shows, and pure revival atmosphere, the festival has become a must-attend event in the Paris region in just a few editions.
Who doesn't remember the hits of Ginuwine, Matt Houston, Colonel Reyel, or the Spice Girls? These artists who marked the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st return to the stage every summer thanks to the Do You Remember Festival. Born in Taverny (95150) in the green setting of Parc François Mitterrand, this festival has captured the soul of an entire generation and brought them together for a three-day weekend.
The concept is simple and effective: offer a lineup exclusively composed of iconic artists from the 1990s and 2000s, mixing the styles that made the soundtrack of that era — American and French hip-hop, R&B, new jack swing, zouk, reggae, dancehall, pop. On the main stage of the Madeleine-Renaud theater and its outdoor setting, thousands of festival-goers come each evening to sing along to the choruses they've known for twenty years.
The strength of the Do You Remember Festival lies in the quality and coherence of its programming. Each edition strives to bring together international artists — often American or British — and French artists who marked their time. Past editions have hosted names like Ginuwine, Bobby V, Eternal, Shola Ama, 3T, Matt Houston, Arsenik, Colonel Reyel, Ophélie Winter, Singuila, and Cut Killer, legendary figures of the 90s-2000s parties.
Over three days — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — the festival offers an intense program that starts in the late afternoon on Friday and extends into the late evening. Hosts, interactive musical blind tests, and dance contests complement the artistic performances, creating an atmosphere of total celebration where the public is invited to participate as much as to watch.
Two giant stages — including a main one with two giant screens — ensure perfect visibility for all festival-goers. The organization prioritizes public comfort with clear aisles, numerous catering areas, and VIP facilities for festival-goers seeking a premium experience with artist meet-and-greets.
Although the Do You Remember Festival began in Taverny at the Théâtre Madeleine-Renaud in Parc François Mitterrand, its growing success led it to move to an even larger site. In 2026, the festival will take place at the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Val de Mériel, a historic and majestic setting in the Val-d'Oise, offering increased capacity to meet growing public demand.
This evolution reflects the organizers' ambition: to make the Do You Remember Festival one of the biggest nostalgic music events in France, while remaining true to its roots in the Val-d'Oise and its popular, multi-generational audience.
For festival-goers wishing to have a premium experience, the festival offers VIP packages including a covered grandstand with a stage view, a dedicated catering area with an open bar, and the opportunity to meet some artists during meet-and-greet sessions. These packages, limited in number, are snapped up at each edition as soon as they go on sale.
Beyond the music, the Do You Remember Festival has become a sociological phenomenon. It brings together a community of adults aged 25 to 50 who share a nostalgia for a particularly creative and popular musical era. For many, coming to the festival is an opportunity to reconnect with their youth, meet friends, and dance to the music that accompanied their first loves and parties.
Social media plays a crucial role in the life of this community: participants extensively share their experiences, creating viral buzz that helps fill the festival from one edition to the next. The dedicated hashtag is among the most active during each summer edition.
The 2026 edition of the Do You Remember Festival is moving to an exceptional historic setting: the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Val in Mériel (95). From July 3rd to 5th, 2026, Passi, Sinik, Worlds Apart, Stomy Bugsy, Nivea, Truth Hurts, Treach (Naughty By Nature), Lemar, and many other artists from the 90s-2000s are expected.
