The heritage festival of Seine-et-Marne
Since 2018, the Department of Seine-et-Marne has invited people each year to explore little-known and unusual paths through its heritage festival "Emmenez-moi". Itinerant by nature, this free event, open to all, takes place on the last weekend of June in different towns each year, offering a unique immersion into the heritage of Seine-et-Marne through live performances, concerts, workshops, walks, conferences, and open-air cinema. Ruined castles, old industrial sites, picturesque villages, medieval sites: the festival reveals the rich heritage of the largest department in the Île-de-France region through an artistic and festive lens.
Created in 2018 by the Department of Seine-et-Marne, the "Emmenez-moi" festival is an invitation to rediscover local heritage from a new perspective. Each edition takes over different towns in the department, transforming heritage sites—often little-known to the general public—into ephemeral stages for live performances, artistic installations, and festive gatherings.
The great originality of Emmenez-moi lies in its itinerant nature. From one year to the next, the festival explores new territories within the department, showcasing remarkable heritage sites: ruined castles, former industrial sites repurposed, picturesque villages with preserved architecture, forgotten medieval sites. This approach highlights the exceptional diversity and richness of Seine-et-Marne's heritage, the largest department in Île-de-France by area and variety of landscapes.
The festival offers a rich program accessible to all: open-air live performances—theater, dance, circus, music—concerts in unexpected locations, participatory workshops for families, guided walks to discover local heritage, conferences, and open-air cinema screenings. The entire program is free, reflecting the Department's commitment to making culture and heritage accessible to the widest possible audience.
The 7th edition of the festival, in June 2025, took place in the towns of Condé-Sainte-Libiaire, Coupvray, and Treuzy-Levelay. A new feature for 2025: the "Emmenez-moi" label now distinguishes one-off events that promote heritage throughout the year, extending the festival's spirit far beyond the single weekend in June.
Emmenez-moi is part of the cultural and heritage policy of the Department of Seine-et-Marne, in collaboration with the host towns, tourist offices, and local associations. The festival helps to promote the 800 historical monuments and countless heritage sites in the department, while also revitalizing rural and peri-urban areas through a festive and unifying event.
The 8th edition of the Festival Emmenez-moi is scheduled for the last weekend of June 2026 in new towns in Seine-et-Marne. The festival continues its itinerant exploration of the departmental heritage with a free program of performances, concerts, and walks.
As the festival is itinerant, the locations change each year. The host towns and access details will be announced on the official festival and Department of Seine-et-Marne websites a few weeks before the event.
Completely free entry for the entire program.
Local food vendors, artisan stalls, children's workshops, tourist information about the department's heritage.
