About Comme des images
Comme des images is a photography festival established in 2026 by the association of the same name, founded by photographer and framer Sabine Guédamour and Sébastien Mariau. The event unfolds as a trail across various locations in Provins, blending contemporary works with a look back at the history of photography.

Practical information — Comme des images
Free admission to all four venues on the trail: the Pôle gare, the church of Sainte-Croix, the media library, and the Galerie Guédamour studio in Provins.
The festival grew out of the work of Sabine Guédamour, a photographer based in Provins where she runs a framing studio, Galerie Guédamour. Together with Sébastien Mariau, she has curated exhibitions for this inaugural edition spread across several city landmarks: the train station, the church of Sainte-Croix, the media library, and her own studio.
The reopening of the church of Sainte-Croix, which had been closed to the public for forty years, is a major highlight of this first edition. It hosts the results of a residency by photographer Fred Delangle, focusing on Provins by night, as well as a screening dedicated to René Burri, a photographer from the Magnum agency.
The budget for this first edition, approximately 10,000 euros, is half-funded by the city of Provins, with the remainder provided by the Île-de-France region.
