Festival of digital art, classical and electronic music in heritage sites
The Festival Image Sonore is an international festival mixing classical music, electronic music, video-mapping, and scientific culture, rooted in the rural territories of Côte-d'Or. The program unfolds in exceptional historical monuments — the MuséoParc Alésia, the Château de Bussy-Rabutin, and the Abbaye de Fontenay — with evening scenographic concerts and monumental projections that illuminate the facades of these heritage sites.
Created in 2019, the Festival Image Sonore offers a unique experience at the crossroads of classical music, electronic music, and video-mapping. Set in remarkable heritage sites in Côte-d'Or, it invites the public to rediscover heritage through monumental projections on the facades of the MuséoParc Alésia, the Château de Bussy-Rabutin, and the Théâtre des Roches d'Alise-Sainte-Reine.
The musical program mixes internationally renowned artists and emerging creators, with evening scenographic concerts that transform the monuments into living stages. Daytime performances offer digital art exhibitions, workshops, and sound installations in a route connecting the two emblematic sites of the Château de Bussy-Rabutin and the MuséoParc Alésia.
The festival is distinguished by its art-science dimension, combining digital creation and scientific popularization. The monumental projections bring the facades of the monuments to life, confronting architectural heritage and contemporary creation. The Festival Image Sonore benefits from the support of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and collaborates with institutions such as the IRCAM.
The 8th edition of the Festival Image Sonore is scheduled for July 17 and 18, 2026. Evening scenographic concerts, monumental projections, and digital art exhibitions are on the program in the heritage sites of Côte-d'Or.
