Classical organ concerts at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church of Chaource
The International Organ Festival of Chaource is a series of free concerts dedicated to classical organ music, organized every Sunday at 5 PM in July and August, as well as on Easter, Ascension, and Pentecost, in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church of Chaource. The organ, built in 1696 by Louis Lebe and classified as a Historic Monument, has undergone meticulous restoration, allowing it to sound as it did in the 17th century. Organists from around the world come to discover and play this instrument with its uniquely distinctive timbre, making Chaource a major center for organ music in Champagne.
