Latin dances and music in the streets of Mâcon
Launched in 2024 by Malik Dellidj, manager of Zikënba, the Festival Latino Mâconnais (F.LA.M) was born from a simple desire: to make Mâcon dance to the rhythms of Latin America. By bringing together 36 establishments — associations, bars, restaurants — and with the support of the City of Mâcon, this young festival immediately found its audience and established itself as a highlight of the Mâconnais summer.
For four days in early July, the center of Mâcon transforms into a giant dance floor. The streets, the quays, and the esplanade vibrate to the sound of live Latin music concerts, SBK evenings (salsa, bachata, kizomba), rumba flamenca, tango, cumbia, and zumba. Dance workshops allow beginners to get started, while experienced dancers meet for fiery demonstrations.
F.LA.M is not limited to dance. Batucadas and percussion parades cross the streets of Mâcon, capoeira and flamenco shows animate the squares, and a Cuban painter creates live works. On the gastronomy side, about twenty restaurateurs offer menus with Latin flavors, complemented by a Petit Marché Gourmand Latino (Latin Gourmet Market) in the open air.
On Saturday evening, the City of Mâcon schedules bands on the Esplanade Lamartine, adding an extra festive dimension to the event. F.LA.M is a popular and unifying festival, which brings together the people of Mâcon from all origins around a universal musical and dance culture, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
3rd edition of the Mâconnais Latin Festival (F.LA.M), from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026. Three days of Latin music and dances in Mâcon city center: live concerts, salsa-bachata-kizomba parties, dance workshops, batucada, and Latin gastronomy.
The 3rd edition of the Mâconnais Latin Festival takes place from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026 in the streets, squares, and esplanade of Mâcon city center. Live concerts, dance parties, introductory workshops, batucada, and Latin menus once again enliven the capital of Mâconnais, with the support of the City of Mâcon.
Friday, July 3rd kicks off the festivities with a salsa stage and an SBK (salsa, bachata, kizomba) party at Zikënba, a Salsa party at Crescent, a flamenco rumba concert by Almalatina at Les Arts / La Belle Époque, and DJ Tovo at Blue Note.
