Music and gastronomy festival in Porte du Jura
The Festival Les Heures Joyeuses is a music and gastronomy festival organized by the Association Les Cœurs Joyeux in Porte du Jura. Over four to five days in June, this traveling event unfolds across four sites in southern Jura: Cousance, Saint-Amour, Maynal, and Les Trois Châteaux. The musical program blends jazz, blues, world music, pop, and classical music, while the gastronomic aspect highlights local chefs and winemakers from the southern Revermont region.
The Festival Les Heures Joyeuses is a unique event that happily marries quality music and Jura gastronomy in the bucolic setting of the Porte du Jura, in the south of the department. Organized by the Association Les Cœurs Joyeux, this traveling festival takes place over several days in June across four emblematic sites of the territory: Cousance, Saint-Amour, Maynal, and Les Trois Châteaux (Nanc).
The program of Les Heures Joyeuses spans musical genres with a preference for jazz, blues, and world music. The festival has hosted renowned artists such as China Moses accompanied by pianist André Manoukian, as well as blues bands and gypsy jazz ensembles. Classical concerts and musical discoveries complete a program that appeals to all audiences.
The traveling nature is at the heart of the Les Heures Joyeuses concept. Each site offers a different atmosphere: open-air concerts in Cousance, intimate evenings in Maynal, performances in the heritage setting of Saint-Amour, and concerts at the Château des Trois Châteaux. This diversity of locations allows for varied pleasures and discovery of the territory.
An original feature of the festival, the gastronomic aspect is as carefully curated as the musical program. Chef Philippe Bouvard from Balanod (Jura), a Michelin-guide-referenced restaurateur, orchestrates the gastronomic evenings that accompany the concerts. A wine village from the southern Revermont allows visitors to discover local wines, while producers selected for their quality approach offer their specialties.
The Festival Les Heures Joyeuses returns in June 2026 for a new edition combining concerts and gastronomy across four sites in Porte du Jura.
