The Festival Libre d'Art is held every summer at the Jardins Intérieurs, at 10 rue du Buis in Saint-Privat (07200), on the banks of the Ardèche. For three days, this artistic creation festival offers a rich program combining workshops, shows, visual arts, gatherings, and moments of conviviality. The exceptional natural setting — on the banks of the Ardèche river, with a private beach and gardens — gives the festival a unique atmosphere, between art and nature.

The three values of the festival

The Festival Libre d'Art is based on three founding values. Experimentation first: "we test, we fail, we succeed, we invent." The festival is a space of freedom where everyone is invited to step out of their comfort zone and explore new forms of expression. Kindness next: the festival creates a welcoming and respectful environment where each participant feels free to create without judgment. Conviviality finally: "we laugh together, we share, we create side by side." The festival is above all a place for human encounters and sharing.

Visual arts, shows, and workshops

The programming of the Festival Libre d'Art covers a wide artistic spectrum: visual arts (painting, sculpture, installation), live performances (theater, dance, performances), concerts, live karaoke, creator market, and open stage. Participatory workshops are at the heart of the festival, allowing everyone to try their hand at different artistic practices and create their own works. The open stage offers everyone the opportunity to get on stage and share their creativity with the audience.

A site on the banks of the Ardèche

The festival takes place at the Jardins Intérieurs, a place for living and creation located on the banks of the Ardèche river, in Saint-Privat. The site has rooms for accommodation (single, double, or triple), a campsite and a caravan area, a heated swimming pool, and a private beach on the river. This setting allows festival-goers to have an immersive experience, staying on-site and fully enjoying the three days of the festival.

Local catering and world cuisine

The catering at the Festival Libre d'Art highlights local and seasonal products, with cuisine prepared on-site by chefs using the resources of the Ardèche region. In 2026, the festival will notably offer Thai cuisine prepared by specialized chefs, adding an international touch to the festival's spirit of openness. Meals are included in the stay packages, creating moments of shared conviviality between festival-goers and artists.
