Written, spoken, told, and sung words by the Azure lake
The Nect'Art de Mots Festival is a cultural and literary event organized by the estanqu'Arts association by the Azure lake. Every June, this festive day brings together authors, publishers, calligraphers, illustrators, and illuminators for exhibitions, creative workshops, storytelling shows, poetry, concerts, and musical strolls. A temporary village celebrates the richness of written, spoken, told, and sung words in an enchanting setting.
Led by the estanqu'Arts association, the Nect'Art de Mots festival transforms the village of Azur and its lake shores into a place of celebration for written, spoken, told, and sung words every year. This cultural and literary event, marking the opening of the summer season, has become a popular gathering for lovers of literature, graphic arts, and performing arts in the Landes.
The festival is organized around a temporary village set up at the Salle François Mitterrand and by the Azure lake. This village brings together a variety of exhibitors and artists involved in the world of books and writing:
The Nect'Art de Mots festival offers a full day of activities starting at 10 am:
The Azure lake, nestled between pine forests and sandy beaches, offers an idyllic natural setting for the festival. Visitors can enjoy cultural activities while strolling by the water, in an atmosphere of serenity and discovery.
The estanqu'Arts association, based in Azur, is the creative and organizational driving force behind the festival. Composed of enthusiasts of literature, visual arts, and performing arts, it works throughout the year to promote culture and arts in the south of the Landes. The festival's name, a contraction of nectar and art, evokes the delicious pleasure of words, like honey savored by eye and ear.
The Nect'Art de Mots Festival returns in June 2026 by the Azure lake for another day of literary and artistic celebration. Exhibitions, workshops, storytelling, poetry, concerts, and encounters with authors and publishers. Detailed program to come.
