About Néofolies
The Néofolies Festival is a free street music and theater festival organized every year in June in Neuves-Maisons, south of Nancy, by the OCEAN association and the City of Neuves-Maisons. Created in 2008, this festive and popular event takes over the streets and squares of the town for a weekend with concerts of French chanson, pop, rock, and world music, street theater performances mixing dance, acrobatics, magic, and clowning, and activities for the whole family.

The street as a stage
Since 2008, the Néofolies Festival has transformed the streets of Neuves-Maisons into a huge open-air stage. Organized by the OCEAN association (Organisation Culturelle d'Événements et d'Animations de Neuves-Maisons) and the City of Neuves-Maisons, this free festival has become an anticipated summer event in the Moselle valley, south of Nancy.
Music and theater on every street corner
The Néofolies Festival offers a rich and accessible program, spread across several stages in the streets and squares of the town:
- Concerts: French chanson, pop, rock, world music, and brass bands take over the outdoor stages from 8 PM.
- Street Theater: Theater companies taking over Place Poirson and public spaces with performances mixing dance, acrobatics, magic, clowning, and music.
- Strolling Acts: Traveling artists roaming the streets to surprise passers-by.
- Family Activities: Games, creative workshops, and shows for children.
A festive weekend
The festival takes place over a weekend in June, taking advantage of the long summer days. Saturday is generally dedicated to street performances during the day and concerts in the evening, while Sunday offers more family-oriented activities and afternoon concerts.

The OCEAN association
The OCEAN association is the driving force behind the festival. Composed of volunteers passionate about culture and live performance, it organizes Néofolies with the logistical and financial support of the City of Neuves-Maisons and the Communauté de Communes Moselle et Madon.

Access and transport
Neuves-Maisons is located 10 km south of Nancy, in the Moselle valley, within the Communauté de Communes Moselle et Madon.
- By car: From Nancy, take the direction of Neuves-Maisons via the D331 or D570 (approx. 15 minutes drive). From the A33, take the Neuves-Maisons exit. Free parking near the festival venues. Traffic may be modified in the town center during the festival due to the pedestrianization of certain streets.
- By bus: Sub network from Nancy bus station, line serving Neuves-Maisons. Stop in the town center near the festival stages. Check schedules on the transport network website.
- By bike: Neuves-Maisons is accessible via cycle paths from Nancy, along the Moselle. Bicycle parking in the town center.
Festival venues
The festival takes over several locations in the town center of Neuves-Maisons: Place Poirson (heart of the festival for street theater), adjacent streets (strolling acts), squares and green spaces (concert stages). A festival map is distributed at the entrance to the different sites, allowing easy navigation and ensuring you don't miss any performances.
Dates and times
The festival takes place over a weekend in June, generally around the summer solstice or Fête de la Musique. Saturday is dedicated to street performances during the day and concerts in the evening (from 8 PM). Sunday offers more family-oriented activities and afternoon concerts. Street performances begin in the early afternoon.

The festival is entirely free, for both street performances and concerts. This complete freeness is at the heart of the festival's project and is made possible by the support of the municipality, the community of communes, and the commitment of the OCEAN association volunteers.

A refreshment stand and food stalls are set up in the festival squares, offering hot meals, sandwiches, crepes, and cold drinks. The offer is varied and at affordable prices. It is also possible to eat in the shops and restaurants of the town center.

The festival is resolutely family-friendly. Street performances are accessible to all ages, and specific activities for children are offered during the day (workshops, games, face painting). The atmosphere is relaxed and safe, ideal for a family outing.
