Jazz in all its colors

Created in 2002, Vand'Jazz is the jazz festival of Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy. Over the years, this biennial event has established itself as a major event on the jazz scene in Meurthe-et-Moselle, offering an eclectic program that explores the many facets of the genre: from hot jazz to swing, from bebop to contemporary jazz, including fusions with French chanson, world music, and electronic sounds.

Meetings and discoveries

One of Vand'Jazz's specialties is fostering meetings between amateur musicians and professional artists. The festival offers participatory workshops, masterclasses, and exchange sessions that allow jazz enthusiasts of all levels to get started, improve, and share their love for this music. A demanding program

During the 20th-anniversary edition in 2022, the festival hosted renowned artists such as Stacey Kent, accompanied by the Mahlerian Camerata Orchestra, the Samson Schmitt Trio in the tradition of gypsy jazz, and saxophonist Daniel Humair with his Modern Art Trio. The evenings blend headliners with emerging artists, offering a comprehensive panorama of living jazz.

Iconic venues

Concerts and events take place in several cultural venues in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, notably the Salle des Fêtes Bernie Bonvoisin for major evenings and the Domaine du Charmois for outdoor concerts and intimate gatherings. Musical events are also organized in the city's media libraries and community centers.

The festival celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2022 with a special edition rich in events, confirming its place in the cultural landscape of the Nancy metropolitan area and the Grand Est region.
