Ôrizons Festival

Cultures of the Near East and Maghreb in Dordogne

The Ôrizons Festival is one of the major cultural events in Dordogne. For over sixteen years, it has offered artistic and intellectual encounters every June in Périgueux and the Grand Périgueux region, focusing on the cultures of the Near East and the Maghreb. Organized by the association Printemps Ô Proche Orient, the festival relies on a network of nearly 40 partners.

A Multidisciplinary Festival

The program combines live performance (music, theater, dance), debates on current international affairs, photographic exhibitions, cinema, archives, and literary encounters. The festival brings together perspectives from French and foreign artists and intellectuals to foster intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding.

La Filature, a Place of Creation

The festival is based at La Filature, located at 15 chemin des Feutres du Toulon in Périgueux, a hub for artistic creation and residencies. Events also take place in other cultural venues in Périgueux and the Grand Périgueux area: the Centre culturel de la Visitation, media libraries, cinemas, and community spaces.

Solidarity and Sharing

The Ôrizons Festival aims to be a space for solidarity and sharing. It highlights the creations of artists from the Near East and the Maghreb, promotes exchanges, and contributes to the cultural influence of Dordogne.
