Presqu'île Breizh Festival: Brittany dances in Quiberon Bay

Since 2015, the Presqu'île Breizh Festival has become one of the major events for traditional Breton culture in Morbihan. Every autumn, in October, this travelling festival takes over the towns of Quiberon Bay for a festive and popular weekend.

800 pipers and dancers celebrating

The festival brings together over 800 pipers and dancers from Brittany and elsewhere. Bagadoù (ensembles of bagpipes, bombards, and percussion), Celtic circles (traditional dance troupes), and various musical groups perform in the streets, halls, and squares of the participating towns.

Performances in ten towns

The originality of the festival lies in its travelling format: performances unfold across about ten towns on the peninsula and its surroundings, including Carnac, Quiberon, Plouharnel, and others. This broad territorial presence allows it to reach a diverse audience and showcase the heritage of each town.

Fest-noz and living traditions

The festival features lively fest-noz, colorful parades, Breton and Celtic music concerts, and stage shows highlighting the traditional repertoire. International delegations (Ireland, Scotland, Spain) bring an inter-Celtic dimension to the event.

A popular and friendly festival

Presqu'île Breizh cultivates a popular, friendly, and festive spirit, true to the values of Breton culture. The festival is a meeting place between generations, between amateurs and professionals, between tradition and creation, in a spirit of sharing and cultural pride.
