The pioneering electro festival of the French Alps
Festivaltho is an emblematic electronic music festival nestled at an altitude of 2,300 meters in the heart of Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe. A pioneer of the alpine electro scene since its creation in 2008, this three-day event brings together the biggest names in electronic music every March in a spectacular mountain setting. Between DJ sets in the Sports Center Arena, parties at the 360° Bar, and entertainment on the slopes of the world's largest ski area, Festivaltho offers a unique experience combining skiing and music at the summit of the Alps.
Born in 2008, Festivaltho is one of the very first electronic music festivals to have invested the ski resorts of the French Alps. By choosing Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe at an altitude of 2,300 meters, the organizers created a unique concept: to combine the power of electronic beats with the majesty of the alpine peaks and the energy of skiing.
Over the years, the festival has established itself as a must-attend event on the international electronic scene, attracting thousands of festival-goers from all over the world to experience three days of musical immersion at the summit of the 3 Vallées, the world's largest ski area with its 600 km of slopes.
Festivaltho stands out for the diversity of its venues, each offering a unique atmosphere. The Arena at the Val Thorens sports center hosts the headliners in a large-scale concert setup. The 360° Bar, the resort's iconic panoramic bar, offers DJ sets with breathtaking views of the peaks. The Chalets du Thorens provide a more intimate setting for exceptional sets.
During the day, the slopes and the terraces of the mountain restaurants turn into ephemeral dancefloors, where skiers can enjoy electro sets under the spring sun of March, before joining the main evening events in the late afternoon.
Since its beginnings, Festivaltho has hosted the biggest names in electronic music on its stages. The 2025 edition, the festival's 16th, featured Deborah De Luca, queen of Italian techno, Kavinsky, a French electro legend known worldwide for « Nightcall », and Claptone, a masked DJ and deep house icon, for three memorable evenings in the Arena.
Over the years, the festival has evolved by offering an eclectic lineup ranging from techno to house and electro-pop, while remaining true to its DNA as a friendly and accessible mountain festival.
Val Thorens offers an incomparable setting for a music festival. Located at the end of the Belleville valley, the resort benefits from guaranteed snow cover and exceptional sunshine in March, when the days get longer and spring skiing conditions are optimal. The 360° panorama of the Alpine peaks, from Mont Blanc to the Écrins, adds a unique visual dimension to the festive experience.
17th edition of Festivaltho in Val Thorens. Three days of electronic music at an altitude of 2,300 meters in the Arena, at the 360° Bar, and on the slopes of the world's largest ski area.
Festivaltho returns for its 17th edition from March 17 to 19, 2026, in Val Thorens. True to its proven formula since 2008, the festival offers three days of musical immersion at the summit of the Alps, with concerts in the Arena, panoramic DJ sets at the 360° Bar, and entertainment on the slopes.
