Nestled in the green valley of the southern Territoire de Belfort, Froidefontaine (90140) is a peaceful rural commune of some 460 inhabitants — the Froidefontainois — attached to the Communauté de Communes du Sud Territoire. Every summer, the village comes alive for a festive day that perpetuates the traditions of Franche-Comté village festivals.

The Fête de Froidefontaine, organized by the communal festival committee with the support of the town hall and local associations, is more than just a village fair: it is a time for reunion and social cohesion that brings together all generations around shared values of conviviality and solidarity.

The festivities take place around the communal hall, located on Rue du Stade, which offers a spacious indoor area and direct access to the outdoor green spaces. The afternoon features activities for younger children: traditional games, sack races, pétanque tournaments, and activities organized by local associations.
