Every June 21, Tassin-la-Demi-Lune celebrates the Fête de la Musique by honoring local amateur talents. Organized by the City of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, the day is entirely free and unfolds across several locations and atmospheres, from very young audiences to fans of contemporary music, with the Town Hall Gardens as the heart of the celebration.

Since its national creation in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has become a major popular summer event. In Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, a commune in western Lyon, the City organizes a free and friendly festival every June 21 that highlights local amateur talents, in several locations and atmospheres for a lively and colorful day.
A festival for all audiences
From very young audiences to fans of contemporary music, the program brings together the choirs of the École de Musique, batucada, participatory activities, and a stage dedicated to young talents. The Town Hall Gardens are the central venue for the festival, complemented by the Salle Marivaux and the Maison des Familles.
Fête de la Musique in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune — edition 2026
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune will take place on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge. The City highlights local amateur talents in several locations, with the Jardins de l'Hôtel de Ville as the heart of the celebration. A musical show for young audiences is also offered the day before, on Saturday, June 20th.

Saturday, June 20th — Maison des Familles (young audience)
Musical show « Finger games, nursery rhymes and dancing songs » for children aged 0 to 6, at 10 AM and 11 AM (free, by reservation).
Sunday, June 21st — Maison des Familles
From 3 PM to 4 PM: « Sound Garden » workshops for toddlers (0-6 years old).
Sunday, June 21st — Salle Marivaux
At 4 PM: Children's Choir of the École de Musique de Tassin, Chœur de Lune and world songs from the MJC.
Sunday, June 21st — Jardins de l'Hôtel de Ville
- 5:30 PM-6:30 PM: Blind Test hosted by Limprost.
- 6:15 PM-6:45 PM: musical stroll by the Batucada de l'École de Musique de Tassin (EMT).
- 6:50 PM: speech by Mayor Pascal Charmot.
- 7 PM: « Music Challenge » stage — young artists (12-25 years old) in contemporary music, selected by audition and accompanied by professional coaches.
Food and refreshments available on site.
