About Fête de la Musique de Vincennes

Vincennes celebrates Fête de la Musique on June 21st by taking over its town center streets and squares. From Avenue Franklin-Roosevelt to the Cœur de Ville gardens, via Place de l'Église, Place Bérault, and Place Pierre-Semard, cultural associations and local bands will offer pop-rock, jazz, salsa, kizomba, bachata, and a guinguette disco dance for a festive and popular evening.

Fête de la Musique in Vincennes: a town center transformed into a giant stage

Every June 21st, the town of Vincennes transforms into a huge open-air music stage. From the historic heart of the town to its gardens and squares, the streets of Vincennes resonate with the most varied sounds: pop, rock, jazz, Latin music, world music… Fête de la Musique in Vincennes is a moment of popular gathering awaited by all the inhabitants and visitors of the Paris Est Marne et Bois territory.

One town, several stages, one festive evening

The program for Fête de la Musique in Vincennes is distinguished by its multi-site organization, allowing each visitor to wander from square to square according to their musical desires:

  • Avenue Franklin-Roosevelt (from 4 p.m.): DJ set and pop-rock band to open the evening in partnership with local businesses
  • Parade through the town center (from 4:30 p.m.): the wild brass band Fissa Papa from Cie Gipsy Pigs makes the streets dance with its infectious energy
  • Place de l'Église (from 6 p.m.): Vincennes cultural associations take center stage — Un million de musiques, Violons and Co, Joséphine, and Freedom Music School take over the stage
  • Place Pierre-Semard (8 p.m.): the association Africa Korazon and the orchestra PA' la Calle offer a musical journey between salsa, kizomba, bachata, cha-cha-cha, and reggaeton, for an unforgettable dancing evening
  • Place Bérault (9 p.m.): the jazz of the group Villa D'Este, an elegant and refined quintet, concludes the evening in a sweet and festive atmosphere

The "Disco Guinguette" Ball

One of the highlights of Vincennes' Fête de la Musique is the "Disco Guinguette" ball, offered in the evening in one of the town's gardens or squares. This format combines the warm and relaxed atmosphere of the guinguettes on the banks of the Marne with the disco and funk sounds of the 1970s-80s, creating an intergenerational festive atmosphere appreciated by families and night owls alike.

The Cœur de Ville Gardens

The Cœur de Ville gardens, at the heart of Vincennes' recent urban development, also host musical entertainment during Fête de la Musique. These modern green spaces are an opportunity for residents of the new neighborhoods to enjoy the festival in a green and friendly setting.

Vincennes, a royal and lively town

Vincennes is world-famous for its royal castle and its vast wood on the outskirts of Paris. But it is also a lively, commercial, and culturally active town, where Fête de la Musique is part of an annual calendar of events that its inhabitants are proud of. Well-served by metro line 1 (Château de Vincennes terminus), it attracts visitors from all over the Val-de-Marne and eastern Paris every June 21st.

Fête de la Musique de Vincennes — edition 2026

Free open-air concerts, brass bands, cultural associations, Conservatory students, amateur and professional groups will animate the town all afternoon and evening. 2026 Edition

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Vincennes will once again take over the city center on Sunday, June 21st. As every year, several stages will be set up in the town, from Avenue Franklin-Roosevelt to Jardin Coeur de Ville, passing through Place de l'Église, Diderot, Bérault, Jean-Spire-Lemaître, and Pierre-Sémard.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the town hall in the weeks leading up to the event. Recent editions have featured a very wide range of musical styles: pop-rock, jazz, Latin music (salsa, kizomba, bachata, cha-cha-cha, reggaeton), variety, disco, classical music, wandering brass bands, vocal ensembles. Vincennes cultural associations are honored, as well as the winners of the Young Talents springboard and city center merchants.

The event is entirely free. Amateur musicians are invited to come and play in the streets with their instruments, provided they do not block sidewalks or improvise a stage in the middle of an intersection. To register and report your presence to the town hall: [email protected].
