The town's festival by the Yonne river, in the heart of the Sénonais
Pont-sur-Yonne is one of the oldest towns in the Yonne department. Crossed by the Yonne river and dominated by the remains of its medieval ramparts, this commune of some 3,000 inhabitants has retained an authentic character and a rich associative life. Every summer, the town transforms for a weekend to host its grand communal festival, a highlight of local life.
The Fête de Pont-sur-Yonne is driven by the town's festival committee, supported by numerous local associations. A program of entertainment, concerts, a popular ball, meals, fairground attractions, and fireworks make up a festive weekend that brings together young and old, residents and visitors, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The immediate proximity of the Yonne river gives the Pont-sur-Yonne festival a special character. The developed riverbanks provide an ideal setting for summer festivities, offering spaces for walks, picnics, and outdoor gatherings. The Yonne countryside, with its forests and meadows, naturally blends into the festival's atmosphere.
The program for the Fête de Pont-sur-Yonne varies by edition but usually includes:
The Fête de Pont-sur-Yonne is above all a collective effort. The Fête de Pont-sur-Yonne returns on July 11th and 12th, 2026 for a festive weekend by the river. The festival committee and local associations are preparing a rich program combining entertainment for all ages, live music, conviviality, and pyrotechnic spectacle.

Entry to outdoor activities is free, in the tradition of this popular and friendly festival in the Sénonais.
The festival takes place in the town center of Pont-sur-Yonne and its surroundings, particularly on the market square and the banks of the Yonne river.
