National Day in Fresnes: fireworks in the heart of Val-de-Marne

Every year around July 14th, the town of Fresnes (94260) organizes its National Day to celebrate the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille and the fundamental values of the French Republic. The fireworks: pyromelodic show

The main attraction of the evening is the pyromelodic fireworks display, launched in the evening from Parc André Villette. This nocturnal show, lasting about 20 minutes, is carefully choreographed to a varied musical selection combining French songs, world music, and popular tunes. Multicolored sparks, cascades, and bursts illuminate the Fresnes sky, creating a striking visual spectacle enjoyed by the whole family.

The town of Fresnes also organized, for the Fête de la Musique in June 2025, a fireworks display at the same location, confirming the town's attachment to this type of popular spectacle. On July 14th, the fireworks take on an additional symbolic dimension by celebrating republican values.

The tradition of firefighters' balls

As in many French towns, National Day in Fresnes is also an occasion for the firefighters' ball, organized by the local fire station. This popular tradition invites residents to gather in a festive and relaxed atmosphere, dancing to a variety of music. The firefighters, always popular with the public, open their doors and run the bar, creating a friendly relationship between the emergency services and the citizens.
