Firefighters' ball, fireworks and republican festivities in Montreuil
The town of Montreuil celebrates the National Holiday every year around July 14th with a firefighters' ball, summer entertainment, and popular fireworks. Between Parc des Beaumont and the fire station, the people of Montreuil gather to share a moment of collective joy, festive and republican, true to the spirit of this emblematic holiday.
Every year around July 14th, the town of Montreuil (93100) offers its residents a program of popular festivities combining republican tradition and a friendly atmosphere. A town of 110,000 inhabitants on the outskirts of Paris, Montreuil draws on its working-class history and cultural diversity to make the National Holiday a moment of sincere gathering.
The festivities are organized around several highlights spread over the days of July 12, 13, and 14. The summer event Montreuil Paradise kicks off the celebrations at Parc des Beaumont — accessible from Avenue Jean Moulin — with workshops, escape games, concerts, and entertainment for all ages, in a neighborhood party atmosphere open to everyone.
On the night of July 13th to 14th, the traditional firefighters' ball in Montreuil livens up the fire station located at 11 avenue Pasteur. From 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., the atmosphere is guaranteed with a DJ, food trucks, bars, and a crowd of night owls celebrating the eve of the national holiday in good spirits. Free and open to all, this ball is one of the most anticipated events of the Montreuil summer.
Montreuil is known for its vibrant cultural life: a town of filmmakers, artists, and artisans, it hosts numerous events throughout the year. The National Holiday is part of this heritage of popular celebration and collective memory. The town has many green spaces — the Parc des Beaumont, the Jardin des Lilas — which serve as a setting for summer celebrations.
The commemorative ceremony on the morning of July 14th brings together elected officials, veterans, and association representatives around the war memorial, in respect of republican tradition. It is followed by free entertainment and a shared picnic in the town's gardens.
Montreuil is accessible from Paris via metro line 9 (Croix de Chavaux and Mairie de Montreuil stations) and several bus lines. The festivities take place in different neighborhoods of the town, making access easy on foot or by public transport.
The 2026 National Holiday in Montreuil will take place on July 13th and 14th with the traditional firefighters' ball and popular festivities in the town's parks and gardens. Detailed program to come.
The town of Montreuil is renewing its July 14th festivities for 2026 with the firefighters' ball, summer entertainment, and the republican ceremony. The full program will be announced by the town hall in June 2026.
