Perched on its hill overlooking the Loire, Sancerre offers an exceptional panorama of the vineyard. The 14 communes of the appellation produce wines of great diversity thanks to three types of terroirs: terres blanches (limestone), caillottes (chalky limestone), and silex (flint).
Beyond the fair, it's an opportunity to discover Sancerre, a hilltop village classified among the Most Beautiful Detours in France, with its medieval streets, its Tour des Fiefs, and its panoramas over the Loire valley.
The 2026 Foire aux Vins de Sancerre will be held on Pentecost weekend to celebrate the wines of this prestigious appellation. Meet the winemakers, taste the different terroirs, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this hilltop village.

Sancerre is located 45 km northeast of Bourges, accessible via the D955 then D955A. Parking is available for the event (potential for crowds).
