Foire d'Auxerre

A tradition that has lasted for over 90 years

The Foire d'Auxerre is one of the oldest and most anticipated popular events in the Yonne. Born in 1931, this event has crossed the decades to establish itself as the major spring gathering for the entire Auxerre urban area. In 2025, it celebrated its 95th edition, proof of the deep attachment of the people of Icauna to this event that combines commerce, leisure, and conviviality.

Organized by Auxerrexpo, the congress and exhibition center of Auxerre, the fair is held annually at the end of May, traditionally on the Ascension or Pentecost weekend. It attracts over 26,000 visitors each year from across the department and neighboring regions.

An exceptional site in the heart of the urban area

The Auxerrexpo park, located on rue des Plaines de l'Yonne, offers a vast space of over 10,000 m² of exhibition area spread across three covered halls, a large marquee, and significant outdoor areas. This versatile site, easily accessible from the A6 motorway and the RN6 national road, has numerous free parking spaces and a free shuttle to the city center every 30 minutes.

The organization of the space into several thematic universes allows visitors to wander freely and discover various sectors: the Grand Hall Habitat, the automobile village, the gastronomy and local products pavilion, the culture, leisure, and institutions pavilion, as well as the large outdoor areas dedicated to vehicles and entertainment.

Over 150 exhibitors for all tastes

The Foire d'Auxerre brings together over 150 exhibitors each year from very diverse sectors, reflecting major consumer trends and local know-how:

• Housing and renovation: carpenters, house builders, renewable energy specialists (heat pumps, solar panels), kitchen designers, interior decorators and fitters
• Automotive: dealerships of major brands (Mercedes, Ford, Toyota, Kia…), recreational vehicles, and motorhomes
• Gastronomy and local products: local producers from the Yonne and Burgundy, Chablis wines, cheeses, cured meats, jams, honey, and regional specialties

Unforgettable festive late-night openings

The Foire d'Auxerre is also renowned for its late-night openings which transform the site into a true party venue after 9 PM. Friday and Saturday evenings are marked by concerts by local and regional bands, DJ sets, and fireworks that light up the Auxerre sky.

These late-night openings, highly appreciated by the public, allow the outdoor areas to remain lively until midnight, creating a festive and convivial atmosphere that punctuates each edition with a memorable souvenir for families and groups of friends.
