Foire-Expo de Bierné: The Festive Tradition of Southern Mayenne

The Foire-Expo de Bierné is one of the oldest festive events in southern Mayenne. Organized since the late 1980s by the Bierné Festival Committee, this annual exhibition fair perpetuates the tradition of the great rural festivals that punctuate the life of the Mayenne countryside.

An Agricultural Show at the Heart of the Event

The agricultural show is the historic pillar of the Foire-Expo. Breeders from the region present their finest animals in a competition that showcases local agricultural know-how. Cattle, sheep, and other farm animals are exhibited and judged by experts, in an authentic atmosphere that recalls the importance of agriculture in the region's identity.

Exhibition of Businesses and Artisans

The fair brings together many exhibitors from the region: local businesses, artisans, merchants, and associations present their products and services in a dedicated exhibition space. It is an opportunity for visitors to discover the economic fabric of the Pays de Château-Gontier community of communes and to establish direct contact with local professionals.

Funfair and Entertainment

The funfair traditionally accompanies the Foire-Expo, offering rides and attractions for children and families. The entertainment continues in the evening with:

• Dance Evening: a popular ball with an orchestra, in the purest tradition of village festivals
