The Game Fair: An Institution Since 1981

Since its creation in 1981, the Game Fair has established itself as the unmissable annual event for hunting, nature, and rural traditions in France. Held every year in June at the Parc Équestre Fédéral in Lamotte-Beuvron, in the heart of Sologne, this three-day show welcomes over 92,000 visitors from all over France and abroad to discover a unique world combining hunting passion, love for nature, and rural lifestyle.

An International-Scale Show

Spread over 65 hectares of open space, the Game Fair brings together over 600 exhibitors of various nationalities, presenting more than 5,000 brands. The show is organized around thematic villages, each dedicated to a specific universe: the Premium Village for high-end brands, the Dog Village with its demonstrations and canine competitions, the Archery Village for archery and bow hunting, the Fishing Village for freshwater and sea fishing enthusiasts, the Cutlery Artisans Village for knife craftsmanship, as well as areas dedicated to gastronomy, breeding, and rural traditions.

Demonstrations, Competitions, and Activities

The Game Fair is much more than just a trade show: it's a true festival of outdoor practices and rural life. Hunting dog demonstrations are one of the highlights of the event, featuring field trials, breed presentations, and working competitions. Visitors can attend falconry demonstrations, sport shooting, fly fishing, and archery demonstrations in conditions close to the field.

Conferences and round tables bring together experts, scientists, and stakeholders from the hunting world to discuss topics related to sustainable wildlife management, biodiversity, hunting regulations, and the future of rural practices. Culinary workshops offer the chance to discover game cooking and Sologne's local products, while tasting areas feature regional wines, craft beers, charcuterie, and cheeses.

A Guest Country Each Year

Each edition of the Game Fair honors a guest country, showcasing its hunting traditions, culture, gastronomy, and artisanal know-how. This international dimension enhances the cultural aspect of the show and allows visitors to discover hunting and nature practices from around the world. The 2025 edition featured Spain as the guest country, highlighting its hunting traditions, culture, and gastronomy.

In the Heart of Sologne, Land of Hunting

The choice of Lamotte-Beuvron, an emblematic town in Sologne, as the permanent venue for the Game Fair is no coincidence. Sologne, with its oak and pine forests, ponds, moors, and private estates, is the largest hunting territory in France. The Parc Équestre Fédéral, spanning 300 hectares, offers an ideal setting to host an event of this scale, with its vast open spaces, equestrian facilities, and reception infrastructure.
