For one day, approximately 500 merchants, artisans, and exhibitors set up their stalls in the pedestrian streets to offer discounted items, in a friendly atmosphere enlivened by street entertainment and food trucks.
The Grande Braderie de Rennes is one of the most important commercial and popular events in Rennes, in Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany). Each year, the city center transforms into a huge space for bargain hunting and good deals: approximately 500 merchants, artisans, creators, second-hand shops, and associations unpack their stalls along the pedestrian streets and squares, attracting several hundred thousand visitors and bargain hunters.
Organized by the Carré Rennais association, the braderie takes over the main shopping streets and emblematic squares of the city. Exhibitors offer ready-to-wear, second-hand clothing, vintage items, sports articles, artisanal creations, food products, and garage sale spaces. Street entertainment, food trucks, and association stands complete the festive atmosphere of the day.

The 55th Grande Braderie de Rennes will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in the city center. From 9 am to 7 pm, approximately 500 merchants, artisans, and exhibitors will set up their stalls in the pedestrian streets, for a day of great deals at reduced prices, open to all for free.
The 2026 edition of the Grande Braderie de Rennes will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 9 am to 7 pm, throughout the city center of the Breton capital. More than 500 merchants, artisans, creators, second-hand shops, and associations will set up their stands along the pedestrian streets and squares, attracting several hundred thousand bargain hunters and visitors each year.
Managed by the Carré Rennais association, the street market takes over Rennes' main shopping streets and iconic squares. The 2026 edition is organized around several thematic areas: ready-to-wear and second-hand clothing at Place Hoche, sports village at Place de la Mairie, food stalls and flea market at Place du Parlement, artisans and creators at Place Saint-Sauveur. Additionally, over 150 members of Carré Rennais will display their low-priced items in front of their shops.
Admission is free and access is facilitated by public transport. Between great deals, food trucks, street entertainment, and a festive atmosphere, the Grande Braderie de Rennes remains one of the major commercial and popular events in the Rennes metropolitan area.
