About Bibli en Folie
The Dinan Library Celebrates
Bibli en Folie is a cultural event organized by the Dinan Municipal Library as part of the national "Biblis en folie" days, an initiative by the Ministry of Culture aimed at celebrating the essential role of French libraries and media centers. Every autumn, the Dinan library offers a program of activities open to all.
Activities for All Audiences
The Bibli en Folie program includes book sales on the library's forecourt (books, magazines, and CDs withdrawn from collections, sold from €0.20 to €3), treasure hunts within the library spaces, exhibitions of heritage collections, and activities for children and adults.
Local Heritage and History
The event is also an opportunity to showcase the heritage collections of the Dinan library, which holds remarkable collections of historical and regional interest. In 2025, on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Auguste Pavie (1847-1925), an explorer and diplomat born in Dinan, the library presented the library of Abbé Lemasson and the Auguste-Pavie Collection dedicated to Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

Bibli en Folie is expected to return in early October 2026 at the Dinan Municipal Library, as part of the 3rd edition of the national "Biblis en folie" days. The program will include activities, a book sale, and the showcasing of heritage collections.
